CNC Milling

Accura Engineering is a specialist in multi-axis CNC milling, with a wide range of three, four and five axis machining centres onsite and expertise in processing exotic materials such as Inconel and other super-nickel alloys. We use state-of-the-art equipment from leading manufacturers including DMG Mori, Mikron and Bridgeport in conjunction with powerful CAE software such as Powermill to provide our customers the latest milling technology.

Turning

Accura Engineering have a wide range of turning capabilities, including CNC and manual turning. We have invested in the latest DMG Mori turning centres, as well as a comprehensive suite of lathes, to meet the demands of the most challenging materials and complex shapes. We have also invested in market-leading bar-feeder technology from IEMCA to automate the turning process, enabling the highest levels of productivity.

Wire & Spark EDM

Accura Engineering offers NADCAP-accredited wire and spark EDM with a 24-hour turnaround service, providing the high-reliability industries such as Aerospace and Defence with rapid delivery of parts to the highest standards. Using industry-leading Agie Charmilles 5-axis wire and spark erosion technology, we have some of the largest machines in the UK and offer machining of outsized components up to 4 tonnes with outstanding levels of precision.

Laser Cutting

Our 6-axis Laser Cutting capability allows us to provide rapid turnaround of complex parts in a wide variety of materials. The highly versatile Trumpf Lasercell system offers flexible machining capability including cutting, welding, marking, trimming and etching, as well as processing of fourth axis tubular components. Combined with our inhouse press tooling expertise, this laser cutting capability enables us to reduce press tool requirements and associated development costs.

Large Milling

Our comprehensive Large Milling facilities allow Accura Engineering to handle outsized components up to 4.0m x 1.5m x 1.2m for the high-reliability industries such as Marine, Energy, Nuclear and Defence. Our engineers work closely with our customers to develop manufacturing and work-holding solutions for complex, large parts. With an on-site press tooling division, we are highly experienced in handling heavy components safely and without compromise to accuracy.

Production Cells

We are proud to be a manufacturing partner for major OEMs in the Chemicals, Industrial, Energy and Aerospace industries. To support our strategic partners’ outsourced manufacturing strategies, Accura Engineering have established dedicated production facilities. Our New Product Introduction team has the experience and engineering insight required to ensure successful ramp-up from development to high volume production of precision engineered components.

Grinding

We are able to offer a complete service for precision grinding including surface grinders, table grinders and cylindrical grinders from leading manufacturers including Jones & Shipman. From prototypes and low-volume work through to production components and press tooling repairs, we are able to provide grinding services for parts up to 2.5m, allowing our customers to achieve the tightest tolerances on large parts.

Fabrication & Assembly

Accura Engineering has comprehensive light fabrication and assembly facilities to provide our customers with a turnkey service for production of mechanically engineered products to AS9100 standards. Our light fabrication facilities include fly presses and power presses, as well as corrugation and deburr. Our high-volume production unit is supported by a fully-equipped quality department, enabling 100% inspection of fabricated parts if required.
