Accura Engineering, part of the Connexion Technologies group, was the proud winner of Manufacturing Innovation Award at Insider Media’s Made in the Midlands Awards last night. This award recognises the unique process capability that Accura has developed for the machining of hundreds of unique 3D Printed components for satellites. Their engineering expertise in 5-axis CNC machining allowed Accura to develop a novel work-holding system, enabling them to set-up, complete multiple machining operations, and inspect each part quickly and efficiently and resulted in the largest deployment of 3D Printed RF components for a satellite application. Building on the success of this project, Accura are accelerating their investment program for multi-axis CNC machining capability to provide our customers with the latest technology and innovative manufacturing solutions.
